Which file formats are supported?

Documents: PDF, DOCX, DOC
Images: JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC/HEIF, BMP, GIF
Video: MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, WebM
Audio: MP3, WAV, AAC, OGG, FLAC

How large can my files be?

In the Mac app you can convert files up to 200 MB for documents and images, and up to 2 GB for video and audio.

Where are my files processed?

This depends on which version you use, and the difference matters:

FileFlip for Mac: every conversion runs locally on your device, using conversion software bundled with the app. Your files never leave your Mac and are never uploaded to any server. The app works without an internet connection.
The FileFlip website: files are uploaded to our servers, converted there, and then deleted automatically within 1 hour.

Where are my converted files saved?

The Mac app asks you where to save each file before it is written, so the result goes wherever you choose. When a tool produces several files at once — splitting a PDF, or converting a PDF to images — the app creates a folder named after your original file and places the pages inside it.

A conversion failed. What should I do?

First check that the file opens correctly in another app: damaged or partially downloaded files cannot be converted. If it still fails, email us and include:

your macOS version (Apple menu, then About This Mac)
which tool you used, for example "Video Format Converter"
the format you started from and the format you wanted
the exact error message shown by the app

That is normally enough for us to reproduce the problem.

Do I need an account?

No. FileFlip for Mac needs no account, no sign-in and no registration.

FileFlip for Mac is a one-time purchase. There are no in-app purchases and no subscriptions.
